#17 Outdoor Photo taking Due 3/2 You will be submitting photos from block day Feb 22/23
*If you were absent on this day, you will need to take some photos...come see me!
Requirements: 1. Edit ALL photos being posted to your page as needed BEFORE putting them onto your class assignments page. Consider the following for editing purposes: -crop -lighting adjustments (levels is the best in my opinion for outdoor shots...or any photos really) -removing an object (did a stray leaf get into a cool shot of your bubbles...remove it!) -sharpening ...any other editing that may enhance the quality of the photo and make it as fantastic as possible! 2. Title the Assignment "Outdoor Photos" 3. Submit your best 5 photos...no more than 3 in a row on weebly. You can also use the slideshow option which allows you to upload them all at once (Just do not use the Gallery option because it will only show photos wide angle). 4. Publish and post your URL to Canvas
Outdoor Photo Shoot: Combining Composition with Manual Understanding
Today, we will go outside to take photos! Yay!! While we are outside, our focus will be combining what you have learned so far about the camera in manual with what you have learned about basic composition.
Some things we have learned in Manual: Basics- ISO- adjust for more light sensitivity as needed (but don't go too high or it gets grainy. Aperture- Low=close up/ High= far off photos Shutter- slow=capture movement blur/ fast= freeze motion
Adjustments for lighting- ISO- Low #=bright lighting Aperture- Low#=bigger opening for more light/ bigger#=smaller opening and less light into camera Shutter- faster= less light/ slower=more light
Composition Techniques so Far: *Rule of Thirds- off center vertically or horizontally *Symmetrical sometimes works *Leading lines *Close up=simple backgrounds *Interesting viewpoints (below, above, from the side of the subject matter)
Examples of how this can be combined... Close Up: low aperture + simple background + Rule of Thirds Distant Subject: higher aperture + symmetry or Rule of Thirds + possibly leading lines
Do NOT post these photos to your class page at this time!!!! When we get back, they should be uploaded and edited only!
