You want to save completed photos as a new file. Never replace the original because you may need it later...you never know! Here are two main ways that you need to save your photos:
1. Saving finished files as a Jpeg
a) Click the file tab on the top left b)Choose "Save As" c) Rename the photo -I try to name it something easy to identify, like "cropped photo of the pond" d) Choose file type -directly under the file name, you choose the file type -click the arrow on the right corner of file type and choose "Jpeg" e) Click "Save" f) Choose "Maximum" quality 12 (may come up as 10, raise it to 12)
2. Not finished editing the file? Save as an Unfinished file!
a) Click the file tab on the top left b)Choose "Save As" c)Rename the photo -I try to name it something easy to identify, like "cropped photo of the pond" d) Choose file type -typically, Photoshop is the default file type- leave it as a Photoshop file -if it is not showing as "Photoshop", click the arrow on the right corner of file type and choose "Photoshop" e) Click "Save"
